  1. I have got everything set up on the tech side, website (WordPress/blue host) I’m kinda lost how to start. The template I purchased has demo content and the page is full. I’ve written 5-6 blogs so far. Should I place all articles before publishing the website or delete most of the demo content and just start with one blog at a time? I will release weekly, but just wondered about the content needed to start. Feel if I just launch with 1 article the site will look empty. Thoughts? Thanks!

  2. Hi can you talk about my handmade crafts / digital png designs ,i can send photos , send u a free sample thank you for your videos 🎉❤

  3. She did say council, but it’s definitely Google ‘console’! She even typed ‘council’ onto the WordPress tracking manager! 😮 otherwise this video is very helpful. 🎉

  4. Thanks Cathrin for this amazing starter tutorial. Could you please guide further on Google Adsense coz I’m not able to find ads on your website as of now. How should one position ads so as to not make the website cluttered, how to set up google adsense etc. Thanks a lot! 🙂

  5. This is all great info, but where’s some content on actually writing your blog? I’m so new at this, so please be patient….my old school way of thinking is that I should have a few blog posts written before I begin the process of doing the 5 things you share in this video….am I wrong?

  6. My current struggle is I want to post my art, blog my story, and be a motivational speaker. Do I need separate accounts for different subjects or can I have it all under once account?

  7. As I’m considering this, I’m curious. Do I have to show myself online (a photo, who I am etc) to get people to read my blog? Because I have to be honest, I don’t want to show myself.

  8. I tried to start a blog this month. I did the blue host, I even paid to get a logo done professionally, whatever it took I was willing to do it. But over 1 weekend I gave up because NO ONE not even the technicians at Bluehost could help me figure out how to get over the DASHBOARD and how to work it so my blog looked presentable. I cancelled everything in a fit of rage and frustration. I am doing this completely alone.

I still want to do this -_____- but I am really discourage. I feel 3 years ago the whole blog setting up was so much more user friendly.

Any tips or resources that can teach how to use the dashboard.

  9. Love the info, Im not totally new but trying to up my online game. Some words you are saying do not register as words to me or I never heard before. Thank you for the great info though 🙂

  10. Great info, the super fast pace of your speech evokes a bit of anxiety to listen to but your content is amazing

  11. I’m new to blogging, I’ve never understood what it meant. Like I’m a total beginner! But, I am majoring in creative writing (among other subjects) so I learned that I love to write! It’s so therapeutic. I even took a non credit class just be I love writing so much! However I have no idea where to begin. Btw. I’m writing this comment in the beginning of your video so I’m sure I’ll learn something 😂❤😊🎉

  12. Do you a playlist? I know nothing about blogging and want to start. It would be nice to go step by step from scratch.

  13. Heyyy, I know it’s a very old video but I’m just starting off my very own blog just as a side hustle as I’m a full time mum and part time bus driver, quick question… should I register my business now? Or wait till I start making money?

  14. Youre giving bad advice about google adsense. Google adsense requires that your blog be at least 6 months old before you apply for google adsense. The reason for this is that if you apply too soon, some or most of your traffic might be from bots, who are either scanning your page or trying to deliberately trying to get you banned from google adsense. You dont mention that here and i hope youre not trying to purposely get peoples blogs banned from google adsense…

  15. I’m posting a question here just to hear everybody’s opinion

The title that I was hoping for for my website was unavailable as a domain name
So I went with a related domain name

Should I just settle for that as the title for the blog or is it okay to have a blog title that’s different than the domain name

  16. Hello I love your content and it’s really helped inspired me even more to really write and do research because I really want to do this also as a stay-at-home. I was wondering if you could do a video explaining the back end regarding taxes and what certain things are like, DBA & Creative Commons Licenses, and other important things dealing with the government when it comes to do I need an LLC and should I trade mark the logo thanks sooooo much 😊😊

  17. These tips are so helpful for anyone just getting started! It’s all about building a solid foundation in that first month. Focusing on consistent content and trying out platforms like BlogHandy can really help streamline the setup and keep things simple as you grow.
