  1. I tried Resolve (on a laptop) but it crashed every time I tried opening a small mp4 video. this makes me hesitant to install it on my PC, which has a faster processor/more RAM but I’m still hesitant to install something that may or may not work for me. I am a beginner and really only need something to clean up the beginning and ends of my videos. can anyone suggest something a little simpler? I’m trying to use an OLD copy of Magix Movie Edit but it has some really weird resolution glitches that totally mess up audio sync. no amount of offset can fix a test recording I did in OBS (which had no problems with audio sync).

  2. I grew up using Kinemaster for editing videos, I was HEARTBROKEN to find it wasnt on computer! This might be the easiest and coolest tutorial ive found, especially because she shows exactly where everything is πŸ™‚

  3. Thanks so much for the recommendation. Just want to say I’m now in my second day trying to download this effing davinchi resolve software. Apparently the only place you should download it is the Blackmagic site (found out the hard way) AND apparently you should use their installation software also (like their version of WINZIP) Still haven’t successfully managed to get this software working. I’ll give it another day then move on. Might be helpful for people if you add the link to their site πŸ™‚

  4. The journey of a YouTuber is filled with ups and downs. There are days when I feel like giving up, but I try to remind myself why I started.

  5. This is a very nice video for youtubers that are starting or want to change This is a very good video Like for you!

  6. Hi will try DaVinci resolve it’s my first edit since I used kinetic in 2014 where I accidentally captured Mariah c. Video somehow. Lol

  7. Advice about the video editing of this actual video… It jumps around way too much. It is hard to follow. I suggest staying on the one screen for longer.
Thanks for making the video, though!

  8. This is a solid tutorial! Thank you, Katie. I recently started my YouTube channel and I’ve been using Vmaker AI’s youtube video editor for some time now. It feels like my personal assistant at this point πŸ˜€

  9. I used to use DR but it requires a big ram.. mine would lag all the time. I tried using proxys and it still didn’t helpπŸ˜…πŸ˜… switched to capcut

  10. I recently saw one of your shorts and you mentioned a vlog stick for iphone you liked….would you mind sharing the brand? Thanks much.

  11. Great list, but most free tools have watermarks on their free versions. Vmaker’s YouTube video editor offers a free plan without watermark.

  12. Imagine taking advice from someone that edits videos on a laptop with (I’m not joking) an APPLE keyboard and magic mouse. This has to be the dumbest and most unergonomic way you can use a computer. I can’t stress how bad this is. I would fire you if i could.

  13. As a fellow creator, I’m excited to try this free editing software. It’s amazing how it competes with paid options. Speaking of efficiency, I’ve been using RocketClips to create viral clips from my longer videos – it’s been a real time-saver!

  14. Katie, I might be going to prison, I just want to thank you for being cool and having an awesome personality on top of educating me on how to take my 3D videos to the next level.
Thank you so much, before then I’ll be trying to honor you πŸš€πŸš€
